Switching On/Off: Turn the temperature selector away from "0" to switch on. The appliance cools, and the interior light activates when the door is opened. Turn the selector back to "0" to switch off.
Longer Periods Off: Switch off at the mains, unplug, defrost, clean, and leave doors ajar.
Temperature Setting: Use the temperature selector (1-7). Higher settings mean lower temperatures. Settings 4-7 are recommended for freezing and frequent door openings.
Winter Setting: Activates at temperatures below 16°C to maintain freezer temperature. Indicator light comes on. Deactivate above 16°C.
Using Refrigerator Efficiently: Utilize different storage zones (coldest above vegetable containers for perishables, warmest at the top/door for butter/cheese). Store food covered. Do not store items that produce ethylene gas together. Avoid storing foods sensitive to cold, unripe fruit, potatoes, and some hard cheeses.
Storing Food Correctly: Cover food to prevent odour transfer and drying. Separate unpacked meats and vegetables. Protein-rich foods and meat require careful storage to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination.
Interior Fittings: Shelves and door shelves are adjustable. A split shelf accommodates tall items. The bottle divider can be repositioned.
Freezing and Storing: Do not exceed maximum freezing capacity. Buy frozen food in good condition and store promptly. Never refreeze thawed food unless cooked. Home freezing requires fresh, good-condition food. Blanch vegetables for best results. Use suitable packing materials and expel air. Label contents and date. Do not freeze hot food/drinks. Defrost food using microwave, oven, room temperature, or fridge. Observe poultry defrosting hygiene.
Ice Cubes/Cooling Drinks: Use ice cube tray. Do not cool drinks in the freezer for more than one hour to prevent bursting.
