Switching on and off
Before first use, clean the appliance interior and accessories. Allow the appliance to stand for 1/2 to 1 hour after transport before connecting to the mains. To switch on, press the main switch or the on button. The appliance starts cooling. Allow it to run for a few hours before loading food. To switch off, press the main switch. The temperature display goes out.
Switching the refrigerator section off separately
Press the On/Off switch to turn the refrigerator section off. The temperature display goes out. To switch it on again, press the On/Off button. The refrigerator section starts cooling.
Safety lock
Engage the safety lock by pressing and holding the alarm button and the Super freeze button for 3 seconds until the indicator light lights up. The appliance cannot be switched off unintentionally. To deactivate, repeat the procedure.
Switching off for longer periods
Switch off at the mains, unplug, defrost the freezer, clean the appliance, and leave doors ajar.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| Problem | Possible Cause and Solution |
| Super freeze or super cool indicator light not lit, but appliance working. | Indicator light defective. Call Miele Service Department. |
| Appliance will not switch off or temperature cannot be adjusted. | Safety lock activated. |
| Interior light in refrigerator section not working. | Door left open for too long (light switches off automatically after approx. 15 minutes). If not, bulb is defective. Disconnect power, unscrew and replace bulb (220-240V, max 25W, E14 fitting). Replace cover. |
| Floor of refrigerator section is wet. | Drain hole blocked. Clean condensate channel and drain hole. |
