Before using for the first time
Remove protective cover from stainless steel surfaces. Clean inside with lukewarm water and washing-up liquid, then dry. Allow appliance to stand for 1-2 hours after transportation before connecting to mains.
Switching on
Refrigerator and freezer sections switch on independently. Press "On/Off" for each section. Bars appear on the temperature display. Interior light comes on when refrigerator door is opened.
Freezer section
Press "On/Off" for the freezer. Bars appear on display, alarm sounds. Allow freezer to run for a few hours before loading.
Switching off the alarm
Press the alarm button. Alarm stops, display bars continue to flash until the set temperature is reached.
Ice pack
Place ice pack in the top drawer or freezer tray. Most effective after 24 hours in the freezer.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| What to do if... | Possible cause and solution |

| Strange noises after switching on | Check vibrating furniture, appliance alignment, rear obstructions, cable clips, or loose parts. Compressor and coolant noises are normal. |
| Refrigerator or freezer section does not get cool | Check if section is switched on, plug is inserted correctly, and fuse is not blown. |
| Freezer door will not open | Wait a few minutes after opening and closing multiple times due to suction. |
| Temperature too low | Set temperature to a warmer setting. Ensure Super freeze/cool is switched off. |
| Appliance switches on too frequently/long | Check ventilation gaps are clear and dusted. Check rear metal grille is not dusty. |
| Food has frozen together | Carefully prise apart with a blunt instrument. |
| Thick layer of ice in freezer | Check door closes properly. Defrost and clean. |
| Alarm sounds and freezer temperature display flashes | Freezer door opened too often, too much fresh food added, or ventilation gaps blocked. May also indicate a lengthy power interruption. |
| Bar lights up/flashes on temperature display | Check display after approx. 6 hours. Temperature will not show until it reaches a certain level. |
| "F0" to "F5" appears | Technical fault. Contact Miele Service Department. |
| "nA" appears | Freezer temperature rose due to power cut. Press alarm button to view highest temperature reached. Check food condition. |
| Super freeze/super cool indicator light not on | Indicator light may be defective. Contact Miele Service Department. |
| Appliance will not switch off | Safety lock is engaged. |
| Interior light in refrigerator does not work | Check door has not been left open for approx. 15 minutes (light auto-off). If not, bulb may be defective. Disconnect power before replacing bulb. |
| Floor of refrigerator section is wet | Drain hole is blocked. Clean condensate channel and drain hole. |
