Before using for the first time

Allow the microwave oven and room temperatures to equalize for approximately 2 hours. Remove all packaging. Check for damage. Clean the oven compartment and accessories with a soft sponge and warm water.

Installation

Ensure unhindered ventilation at the front. Do not block ventilation slots. Follow specific installation dimensions for tall or base cabinets. Ensure proper electrical connection and ventilation. Secure the oven in the cabinet niche using supplied screws.

Cleaning and Care

Allow the oven to cool before cleaning. Do not use steam cleaners. Clean interior and accessories as soon as they have cooled. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Remove cleaning agent residues immediately. Check the door for damage and contact Miele service if necessary.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible cause and solution
The display is dark.
  • Selected Time | Display | Clock display Off setting. Change to Time | Display | Clock display On.
  • No power. Check plug connection and breaker.
You cannot start a cooking process.
  • Door is open. Ensure door is closed properly.
  • No power. Check plug connection and breaker.
The sensor controls do not respond.
  • No power. Check plug connection and breaker.
Place food in oven appears on the display.
  • Oven must not be used without food. Ensure food is placed inside. Confirm prompt with OK or by opening/closing door and selecting Start.
Press OK for 6 seconds appears on the display when the oven is switched on.
  • System lock is activated. Deactivate for cooking by touching OK for 6 seconds, or permanently via Safety | System lock | Off.
Power Failure appears on the display.
  • Brief power failure. Switch oven off and on. Restart cooking.
12:00 appears on the display.
  • Power failure > 150 hours. Reset the time of day.
The turntable is very jerky.
  • Turntable, support, or floor may be dirty. Clean components and reassemble.
A noise is heard after the cooking process is complete.
  • Cooling fan runs to prevent moisture buildup. It will turn off automatically.
An abnormal sound can be heard during a cooking process.
  • Metal dish used. Check for sparks.
  • Food covered with aluminum foil. Remove foil.
The microwave oven has switched itself off.
  • Insufficient air circulation. Check vents for obstructions.
  • Overheating. Allow oven to cool, then resume cooking.
  • Oven keeps switching off. Contact Miele Customer Service.
The food has not been defrosted, heated, or cooked sufficiently on completion of the cooking process.
  • Cooking process interrupted. Restart to ensure proper cooking.
  • Cooking duration too short. Check duration for power level.
Food has cooled down too quickly after being reheated or cooked using microwave power.
  • Food cooks from outside in. Inside relies on heat conduction. For high power, center may not be hot. Standing time transfers heat. Reheating foods of different densities: use low power and longer duration.
The oven interior lighting does not switch on.
  • Lamp is faulty. Appliance can still be operated. Contact Miele Customer Service.
