Contact your Miele Dealer or Service Department for any faults that cannot be remedied.
The oven is operated using the function selector and temperature selector.
Choose from functions like Light, Conventional, Gentle Bake, Grill, Rapid Heat-up, Fan Plus, and Fan Grill.
Set the desired temperature within the available range. The temperature indicator light shows when the oven is heating.
The cooling fan operates after switching off to prevent humidity.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Oven does not heat up | Function and temperature selectors not set correctly. | Check that selectors are set to the required function and temperature. |
| Mains fuse has blown. | Contact a qualified electrician or Miele Service Department. | |
| Heating works, but not oven lighting | Halogen lamp not connected properly or faulty. | Ensure lamp is connected. If it still doesn't work, disconnect power and change the lamp (12V, 20W, heat resistant to 300°C, Osram Type w969). Be cautious as lamps get hot and avoid touching the surface directly. |
| Noise after baking/roasting/grilling | Cooling fan running after use. | This is normal. The fan prevents humidity build-up and switches off automatically when the oven cools down. |
| Spots like rust on catalytic surfaces | Residues from spices deposited during roasting. | Clean fresh residues with a mild solution of hot water and washing-up liquid. |
| Cakes/biscuits not cooked properly | Incorrect temperature, recipe changes, or roasting filter used during Fan Plus baking. | Check temperature, recipe, and ensure roasting filter is removed for Fan Plus baking. Adjust baking time if filter was used. |
| Unevenly browned cakes/biscuits | Incorrect temperature, roasting filter in place, or incorrect shelf level used (Fan Plus). Colour/type of baking tin or incorrect shelf level (Conventional). | Check settings and shelf level. Consider baking tin suitability for Conventional heating. |
| Power cut: "12:00" flashing | Pre-set times deleted. | Enter time of day and any other pre-set data again. |
| "0:00" displayed after buzzer switch-off | Normal display after buzzer deactivation. | Time of day will reappear shortly. |
