Warranty Information

Refer to the information that came with the Kensington System for instructions on how to use it to secure the projector.

Turning on the projector:

  1. Confirm the POWER indicator is red.
  2. Turn on the connected computer.
  3. Press the POWER button on the projector. Wait for the lamp to light up (approx. 2 minutes).
  4. Adjust focus, zoom, and lens shift as needed.
  5. Select the input source (COMPUTER 1, COMPUTER 2, or DVI-D).
  6. Adjust projector position for optimal image size and perpendicularity to the screen.

Stopping projection:

  1. Press the POWER button. Confirm the message.
  2. Press the POWER button again. The projector enters standby mode (LAMP indicator blinks green).
  3. Wait for the lamp to cool down (approx. 2 minutes).
  4. Unplug the power cord.

Direct Power OFF: Unplugging the power cord directly turns off the projector, but may shorten lamp life if not done correctly.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
No image appears on the screen.
Power can not be turned on. Check indicator status. Connect power cord to projector and wall outlet. Ensure no objects block vents. If projector was recently turned off, wait for fan to stop before pressing POWER button. If lamp indicator blinks red, replace lamp. If blinking green/red, wait for indicators to stop blinking and press POWER. If steady red, replace lamp. Attach covers securely. Unplug and contact dealer if problems persist.
No image appears on the screen. Press BLANK button. Remove lens cap. Wait for lamp to light up. If projector was recently turned off, wait for fan to stop before pressing POWER button. Set SCART INPUT to OFF. Check intake vent. Ensure cables are not broken. Use supplied cable for testing. If extension cable is used, add an RGB signal amplifier. If STATUS indicator blinks orange, remove obstructions from vents, wait for fans to stop, unplug, wait 10 minutes, plug in, and press POWER. If LAMP indicator is steady red, replace lamp. Check AUTO POWER OFF setting. If lamp is deteriorated, it may go out.
Power turns off. (See above 'No image appears on the screen' solutions regarding blocked vents, high temperature, or dirty filter.) Replace lamp if indicated. Check AUTO POWER OFF setting. If lamp has deteriorated, it may go out.
Images are not displayed correctly.
The screen for entering the password appears. Enter password or contact projector manager.
"NO SIGNAL" is displayed. Turn on connected device. Check external device output signals and cable. Ensure projector is connected to correct terminals and input source is selected. Use supplied cable or RGB signal amplifier with extension cable.
Projected images are shaking. Check cable connection. Ensure plug is firm. Press AUTO POSITION button. Adjust SIGNAL menu.
Projected images are displaced. Check for wind blowing from exhaust vents towards the lens. Adjust projector and screen for perpendicularity.
The edge of the projected images is not displayed. Adjust projector and screen for perpendicularity.
Projected images are distorted. Adjust BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST. Replace lamp. Decrease temperature if ambient temperature is high.
Projected images are dark. Adjust focus. Clean lens. Eliminate flicker using or buttons. Adjust TRACKING and FINE SYNC. Adjust BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST. Adjust projector and screen for perpendicularity.
Projected images are blurred. Adjust focus. Clean lens. Eliminate flicker using or buttons. Adjust TRACKING and FINE SYNC. Adjust BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST. Adjust projector and screen for perpendicularity.
White dots are seen on projected images. Black dots are seen on projected images. Normal for DLP projectors, not a malfunction.
Rainbow effect is seen on projected images. Color breaking noise, not a malfunction.
Fine streaks are seen on projected images. Interference with screen surface, not a malfunction. Replace screen or adjust focus.
Projected images become wavy. Vertical/horizontal streak noise may occur. Enable LPF. Connect cables securely. Keep projector away from devices emitting radio waves. If keystone adjustment is used, readjust to minimize correction.
Hue is not appropriate. Ensure COMPUTER INPUT setting in SIGNAL menu matches external device output. Check cables. Set COMPUTER INPUT correctly.
Tint in projected images is incorrect. Check COMPUTER INPUT setting. Ensure cables are not broken.
Different color tint. Variations between projectors or with other displays are normal. If caused by computer, contact manufacturer.
Only the motion areas in the images supplied from the computer aren't displayed. Contact computer manufacturer.
Projected images are obscured. Match computer output resolution to projector resolution. Avoid keystone adjustment if images are obscured. Set SUPER RESOLUTION to OFF.
Noise appears around the image. Decrease OVER SCAN or adjust SHUTTER. Press AUTO POSITION button. Perform RESOLUTION (MEMORIZE). Consult computer manufacturer for different resolutions.
The resolution setting on the computer is different from that displayed in INFORMATION menu on the projector. Consult computer manufacturer.
The projected images have blown-out highlights or blocked-up shadows. Adjust input level in ADVANCED MENU. Set COLOR ENHANCER to STANDARD or sRGB. Adjust according to 'How to adjust the computer image'.
Images of WXGA signal are not displayed correctly. Adjust according to 'How to adjust the computer image'.
Others
The exhaust vents emit warm air. Normal cooling process.
The menu can't be used. Restart projector. Some menu items may be unavailable depending on input signal or conditions.
"TEMPERATURE!!" is displayed. Ambient temperature is too high. Eliminate causes. Lamp may go out.
The mark appears. The remote control doesn't function easily or at all. Ineffective operation. Check batteries. Ensure remote sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight/fluorescent light. Use within operation range and distance. Check CONTROLLER ID. Check if controlled by other devices or if terminal cover is attached.
The buttons on the projector (except for the POWER button) don't function. Password lock enabled. Cancel password or contact manager. Check if controlled by other devices.
Abnormal sound is heard. Metallic sounds are normal due to color wheel spin.
FOCUS/ZOOM doesn't work. Lens shift doesn't work. Check if LENS LOCK in INSTALLATION 1 menu is OFF.
If the following problem occurs after the lamp is replaced
The projector does not turn on. Fit the lamp cover securely. Reset the lamp operating time.
The LAMP indicator illuminates red. Fit the lamp cover securely. Reset the lamp operating time.
