Warranty Information

  • Powering On/Off: Plug in the power cord, then press the POWER button to turn the projector on. It may take up to 2 minutes for the lamp to light up. To turn off, press the POWER button twice. Allow cooling for 2 minutes before unplugging.
  • Connecting Devices: Use appropriate cables (HDMI, DVI-D, Computer/Component Video) to connect computers or video sources. Select the input source using the projector's control panel or remote.
  • Adjusting Image: Use the ZOOM/FOCUS button for image size and sharpness. Use the LENS SHIFT button to adjust the image position vertically and horizontally. KEYSTONE and CORNERSTONE modes adjust for distorted images.
  • Maintenance: Regularly clean the filter (at least monthly) by following the instructions. Clean the lens with a standard lens-cleaning brush or tissue.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
No image appears on the screen.
  • Check indicators (POWER, LAMP, STATUS, FILTER).
  • Connect power cord properly.
  • Remove obstructions from vents.
  • Clean the filter if dirty.
  • Wait for lamp indicators to stop blinking green before pressing POWER.
  • If lamp doesn't light up after replacing, check installation.
  • Attach lamp and filter covers securely.
Power can not be turned on.
  • Connect power cord to projector and wall outlet.
  • Remove obstructions from intake/exhaust vents.
  • Ensure projector has cooled down.
  • Replace light source lamp if indicated.
  • Attach lamp cover and filter cover.
  • If problem persists, contact dealer.
Power turns off.
  • Remove obstructions from vents.
  • Ensure room temperature is not too high.
  • Clean the filter.
  • Replace lamp if LAMP indicator is steady red.
  • Check AUTO POWER OFF setting.
  • Lamp may have deteriorated.
No image appears on the screen.
  • Press BLANK button to cancel BLANK mode.
  • Ensure lens cap is removed.
  • Allow 2 minutes for lamp to warm up.
  • Check projector fan operation after power loss.
  • Set SCART INPUT to OFF.
  • Ensure intake vent is clean.
  • Check cable connections.
  • Use the supplied cable for testing.
  • Use an RGB signal amplifier if needed.
Images are not displayed correctly.
  • Check cable connections.
  • Project an image with characters and press AUTO POSITION.
  • Adjust SIGNAL menu settings for out-of-spec signals.
  • Adjust projector and screen for perpendicularity.
  • Adjust BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST.
  • Replace the lamp.
  • Decrease temperature if warning is displayed.
  • Adjust focus.
  • Clean the lens.
  • Use remote control buttons to reduce flicker.
  • Adjust TRACKING and FINE SYNC.
White dots are seen on projected images. Black dots are seen on projected images. Rainbow effect is seen on projected images.
  • These are normal for DLP™ projectors and not malfunctions.
Fine streaks are seen on projected images.
  • Replace screen or adjust focus.
  • For DVD/game console signals, enable LPF to reduce streak noise.
Projected images become wavy.
  • Connect cables securely.
  • Keep projector away from devices emitting interfering radio waves.
  • Readjust keystone for minimal correction.
Hue is not appropriate.
  • Ensure COMPUTER INPUT setting matches external device output.
  • Check cable connections.
Tint in projected images is incorrect. Different color tint.
  • Check cable connections.
  • Compare with other displays; differences may occur due to components or color reproduction range.
  • May be caused by the computer; contact manufacturer.
Only the motion areas in the images supplied from the computer aren't displayed.
  • Contact computer manufacturer.
Projected images are obscured.
  • Match computer output resolution to projector resolution.
  • Avoid keystone adjustment when texts appear obscured.
  • Set SUPER RESOLUTION to OFF if images are obscured.
Noise appears around the image.
  • Adjust OVER SCAN or SHUTTER settings.
  • Press AUTO POSITION button after displaying bright content.
  • Perform RESOLUTION (MEMORIZE).
  • Consult computer manufacturer regarding resolution differences.
The resolution setting on the computer is different from that displayed in INFORMATION menu on the projector.
  • Adjust input level of ADVANCED MENU.
  • Set COLOR ENHANCER to STANDARD or sRGB.
The projected images have blown-out highlights or blocked-up shadows.
  • Adjust input level of ADVANCED MENU.
  • Set COLOR ENHANCER to STANDARD or sRGB.
The exhaust vents emit warm air.
  • This is normal for cooling; not a malfunction.
The menu can't be used.
  • Restart projector after unplugging power cord.
  • Items may be grayed out depending on input signal and conditions.
"TEMPERATURE!!" is displayed.
  • Ambient temperature is too high; lamp goes out.
  • Eliminate causes of high temperature.
  • Intake or exhaust vents are blocked; lamp goes out. Remove obstructions.
The mark appears.
  • Indicates ineffective operation; not a malfunction.
The remote control doesn't function easily or at all.
  • Check batteries.
  • Ensure sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight/fluorescent light.
  • Operate within range and distance from projector.
  • Check CONTROLLER ID matches PROJECTOR ID.
  • Ensure projector is not controlled by another device.
The buttons on the projector (except for the POWER button) don't function.
  • Check if PASSWORD FUNCTION requires a lock. Cancel lock or contact administrator.
  • Ensure projector is not controlled by another device.
Abnormal sound is heard. FOCUS/ZOOM doesn't work. Lens shift doesn't work.
  • Metallic sounds are normal due to color wheel.
  • Check LENS LOCK setting in INSTALLATION 1 menu.
  • Fit lamp cover securely after lamp replacement.
  • Reset lamp operating time.
