Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Check Explanation and action to take
Cannot make ice. Water in the tank stays at the same level. • Has enough time passed after installation? Ice making only starts after the refrigerator has fully cooled. It takes 4 to 5 hours for the refrigerator to cool, and in summer it may take 24 hours or more before ice making starts.
• Has food, the ice server, or another object been left in the ice storage box? Have you leveled out the ice? Remove food and other objects from the ice storage box. The refrigerator concludes that the ice storage box is full of ice. Also, spread the ice out from back to front so it is level.
• Is the ice making compartment set to ICE? Touch and check the display. Cancel the display. Page 24
Not much ice is made. It takes a long time to come out. • Are the ice tray and ice tray lock lever installed correctly? Set the ice tray lock lever to the correct position and check the installation conditions of the ice tray. Page 29
• Is the water supply pipe installed correctly onto the tank holder? Remove any foreign substances that are causing gaps and install so there is no lifting. Page 29
• Are the water supply pump and tank pipe installed correctly onto the water tank? Check the installation. In particular, ensure that there is no lifting when the tank pipe is installed onto the tank. Page 28
The water tank or water supply pipe freezes. • Are you frequently opening the door or removing the ice tray? Doing so results in more time being required to make ice. Refrain from opening the door or removing the ice tray. Page 17
• Is the temperature of the refrigerator compartment set to [L]? Is Energy Saving Mode set? This mode may result in more time required to make ice. Set the refrigerator compartment temperature to [M] and cancel Energy Saving Mode. Pages 24, 26
The ice cubes are stuck together. Ice cubes are too small. • Is there a gap between the tank packing and the water supply pipe or water tank? Is the tank pipe installed onto the water tank and water supply pipe without any gaps? Check the area around the water tank and the conditions of installation inside it. If there is a gap, cold air may leak and cause water to freeze. Pages 28, 29
• Has the ice been stored inside the ice storage box for a long time? When ice is stored inside the ice storage box for a long time, ice cubes may freeze together or shrink (due to a phenomenon called sublimation).
• Does this happen when the level of water in the water tank is low? As the level in the water tank drops, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker decreases somewhat.
