To start your dishwasher, load it with dishes, add detergent, and select a wash cycle and any desired options. Press START to begin. The dishwasher will automatically adjust to soil levels with the AutoSense cycle or allow manual selection of cycles like Heavy, Normal, Light, Rinse, Express, or eWash. Options include temperature boosts, sanitize, different drying modes, pre-soak, wash zones, bottle washing, and delay start. Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Causes Corrective Actions
Start light flashes Door was opened or cycle was interrupted. Press START and close the door to start. Press START again to cancel program.
Dishwasher beeps every 60 seconds Door was opened during operation. Close the door and press START.
Screen displays "LEAK DETECTED" Leak detected. Call for service.
Two beeps at end of cycle Normal operation. Press Heated Dry 5 times within 3 seconds to cancel or re-enable the end-of-cycle signal.
Dishes and cutlery not clean Filter(s) clogged. Water temperature too low. Low water pressure. Improper loading. Clean filter(s). Ensure water temp is at least 120°F (49°C) or select Boost Temp. Check water pressure. Rearrange items to avoid blocking spray arms or detergent dispenser. Use proper detergent.
Stains/film on glassware Hard water deposits. Use Cascade® Complete Rinse Aid. For severe cases, use citric acid or Lemi Shine. Avoid using detergent.
White film on glassware/dishes Hard water deposits or detergent issue. Use Cascade® Complete Rinse Aid. If hard water is severe, consider a water softener. Use less detergent if water is soft.
White film on glassware Hard water deposits or low phosphate detergent. Use citric acid or Lemi Shine. Ensure proper loading and avoid detergent.
Mousse in tub Using non-dishwasher detergent. Use only dishwasher-specific detergent. To clear, open door, press START for 3 seconds, then close. Wipe up any spilled rinse aid.

Black/gray marks on dishes Aluminum utensils rubbing against dishes. Use a mild abrasive cleaner.
Dishes not drying Low water temperature. Max Dry option not selected. Additional drying time needed. Ensure water temp is at least 120°F (49°C). Select Heated Dry or Boost Temp. Select a more intensive cycle.
No water in dishwasher Door not fully closed. Water faucet closed. Flood float stuck. Ensure door is fully closed. Check water faucet is open. Clean flood float.
Normal operational noises Dispenser opening, water filling, motor starting/stopping, spray arms operating, pump during draining, fan operation. These are normal noises and require no corrective action.
Utensils hitting door Improper loading. Place large items in the upper rack to prevent contact with the door.
White film on glassware Hard water or low phosphate detergent. Use citric acid or Lemi Shine. Use Cascade® Complete Rinse Aid or Platinum Pacs.
