The sand filter system is used with a suitable pump to clean pool water. It requires regular cleaning of the filter balls via backwashing. Daily filtration cycles, regular backwashing, and weekly floor suction are necessary for clean pool water. The system removes suspended solids. It is not intended to remove algae or bacteria. Healthy pool water is achieved with proper pool chemicals.
