Getting Started
Place the base near power and phone sockets, at least 1m from other appliances. Ensure the base is plugged in and the cordless handset is fully charged (24 hours for first use). Connect the telephone line cord only after the handset is charged.
Using the Phone
Making Calls: Lift handset, dial number. Answering Calls: Lift handset. Volume Control: Use up/down buttons during a call. Mute: Press * during a call. Intercom: Press and hold *Int for internal calls. Hands-free: Dial and press the speakerphone icon. Redial: Press the redial button to view/dial last 10 numbers.
Phonebook
Store up to 50 names and numbers. Navigate menus using the OK/MENU and arrow buttons.
Settings
Adjust ring volume, key tone, date/time, and language through the Phone Setup menu.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| No dial tone | Check line cord connection, mains power, and ensure only supplied cord is used. |
| No display on corded base | Check mains power. Reset base by disconnecting and reconnecting power. |
| No display on cordless handset | Check battery insertion and charge. Ensure handset is switched on. Reset base if necessary. |
| Handset icon flashes | Handset is out of range. Move closer to the base. Ensure handset is registered. |
| Keypad does not work | Check if keypad lock is active. |
| Icon not flashing during charge | Adjust handset on base, clean contacts, check mains power. Battery is fully charged. |
| No Caller ID | Check subscription with network provider. Caller may have withheld number. Verify phonebook entry. |
| Cannot register handset | Ensure correct PIN is used. Ensure at least 1m distance from other electrical equipment. Check maximum handset limit. |
| Handset does not ring | Check ringer volume is not set to Off. |
| Noise interference | Place C42 at least 1m away from electrical appliances. |
