The Motorola Bluetooth Wireless Handsfree Car Kit provides seamless, wireless hands-free audio through a Bluetooth link. It features high-quality, full-duplex speech, voice dialing capabilities, and entertainment mute to automatically mute the car radio during calls. The device also includes noise reduction, acoustic echo cancellation, and automatic volume control. An 'Ignition sense' feature allows active calls to continue after the car is turned off. It is compatible with Bluetooth 1.2 and backwards-compatible with Bluetooth 1.1 devices, supporting Headset and Handsfree Profiles.
To use the car kit, first link it with your phone by establishing a paired Bluetooth link. After initial pairing, the car kit and phone automatically connect when the vehicle starts. Calls can be placed using the phone's dialer, voice dialing, or by redialing the last number. Answering calls is done by briefly pressing the Multi-function button. Features like call transfer, muting/unmuting, receiving a second call, and three-way calling are supported, with specific button actions detailed in the manual. Volume can be adjusted using the car kit's buttons or remotely via the phone.
| You cannot pair your phone with the car kit. | Turn the phone off and then back on. (You may need to remove the phone's battery.) Try pairing the phone and car kit again. |
| You make a call and the other party hears too much background noise. | Check the location and placement of your car kit's microphone. (See "Installing the Handsfree Kit" on page 6 for details.) |
