The Motorola MG7315 is an 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem with a built-in N300 Wi-Fi router. It connects to standard cable company Internet service and provides shared Internet access to Ethernet-capable and Wi-Fi devices. Basic installation is covered in the Quick Start guide. The device features a Configuration Manager for advanced settings, including wireless network name and password changes, parental controls, firewall settings, and performance tuning. It has 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connections. Setup involves connecting the coax cable, powering the device, and activating the service with your provider, either online or by phone. The front panel has indicator lights for power, upstream, downstream, online status, Ethernet ports, WLAN, and WPS. Troubleshooting tips are provided for common issues.
