Checking Included Accessories

Open the box and verify all included items and accessories are present. Contact the place of purchase if any items are missing or damaged.

Connecting Included Accessories

Power Sources: Connect the AC adapter. Charge the battery fully before first use. Do not remove the AC adapter before Windows setup is complete. Plug the AC adapter into the power input jack, connect the power cord to the AC adapter, and then plug into a wall outlet.

Windows Setup

Perform Windows setup when you first power up the computer. Follow the on-screen instructions, entering user name, computer name, and password. Do not connect external peripherals or turn off the power during setup.

Knowing the Parts

Familiarize yourself with the computer's components, including the LCD display, keyboard, NX Pad, ports, and indicators, as detailed in Section 4.

Battery

Instructions for removing and installing the battery pack are provided, along with a caution not to touch the battery slot terminals.

Keyboard

Utilize the key in combination with other keys to activate Hotkeys for common computer settings like sound, screen brightness, and volume.

NX Pad

Learn basic operations such as moving the mouse pointer, clicking, double-clicking, and dragging using the NX Pad.

Display switch tool

Use + to change screen output or resolution, with options for LCD display only, external display only, clone mode, or dual display.

LAN Function

Set up network connection by going to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center. Configure computer name and network settings.

Wireless LAN Function

Turn wireless LAN on/off using the wireless switch or through [Wireless Network Connection] in Control Panel. Configure wireless LAN settings for connecting to a network.

Memory

Instructions for installing memory modules, including removing the battery pack and securing the memory slot cover.

System Configuration

Access the BIOS setup utility by pressing during power on. Learn basic operations for configuring system settings.

Security Chip Function

Learn how to enable, initialize, and manage the security chip function, primarily for model VG26M/BC-F.
