Connecting Included Accessories

Power Sources: Connect the AC adapter. Charge the battery fully before first use. Do not remove the AC adapter before Windows setup is complete. Plug the AC adapter into the power input jack, connect the power cord to the AC adapter, and then plug into a wall outlet.

Windows Setup

Perform Windows setup when you first power up the computer. Follow the on-screen instructions, entering user name, computer name, and password. Do not connect external peripherals or turn off the power during setup.

Battery

Troubleshooting and error codes

If you encounter problems during setup Troubleshooting Steps
The setup screen is not displayed Press <F2> to enter BIOS Setup. Use number keys to set time/date. Press <F9>, select [Yes], press <Enter>. Press <F10>, select [Yes], press <Enter>. Windows will restart. Then, follow the Setup Procedure (p.3).
If you accidentally turn off the power during setup Setup process will not be completed. Perform Windows recovery or consult your place of purchase.
The computer is unresponsive or shows an error message during setup Note the error message. Hold down the power switch for at least 4 seconds for a forced shutdown. Wait 5 seconds before turning the power back on. See "If you accidentally turn off the power during setup".
