Introduction

This manual describes the procedures to install, adjust, and maintain the projector (NC3200/NC3200S-A/NC3240S-A), lamp power supply unit (NC-32PS01/NC-32PS02) and peripheral devices.

Important Information

Precautions: Read this manual carefully before use. Note information on DLP, CineLink, Microsoft, and other product names. The displays and illustrations may differ slightly from the actual ones. Software licenses (GPL/LGPL) are included.

Important Safeguards: Follow safety instructions to ensure long life of the projector and prevent fire/shock hazards. Do not expose to rain or moisture. Do not open the cover; refer servicing to qualified personnel.

Machine Noise Information

Highest sound pressure level is less than 70 dB (A).

DOC compliance Notice

This Class A digital apparatus meets Canadian Interference-Causing Equipment Regulations. In a domestic environment, it may cause radio interference.

WARNING (Radio Interference)

Use a signal cable with a ferrite core to reduce interference. This equipment complies with FCC Rules for Class A devices. It may cause harmful interference to radio communications if not installed and used correctly.

CAUTION (Radio Interference)

Operation in a residential area may cause harmful interference requiring the user to correct it at their own expense.

WARNING (Lamp power supply setup)

Ensure sufficient space around the lamp power supply for air inlet and outlet to prevent overheating. Minimum 20 cm in front of air inlet, 50 cm in front of air outlet.

Always connect to a ground prior to connecting to the AC power supply.

Connecting the lamp power supply and AC power supply

Use a breaker. Cable core wire should be thicker than 8AWG and made of copper. Use UL- and CSA-certified terminals.

Connect the projector to exhaust equipment.

Use a duct, etc., to connect the projector's air outlet to exhaust equipment that can handle flow amounts of at least 16 m³/min.

Backing up authentication data

If the projector is not used for 6 months or more, the secondary battery may lose power. Put the projector into standby mode for at least 48 hours once every 6 months to recharge the battery.

Installation

Consult your dealer for installation. Do not attempt yourself. Install on a flat, dry, dust-free, moisture-free surface. Avoid direct sunlight, heaters, smoke, or steam. Handle carefully; dropping or jarring can cause damage. At least five persons are required to carry the projector. Remove lens and lamp before carrying. Do not hold the lens part. Do not place heavy objects on top. Shut down AC power and disconnect cables before moving.

Power Supply

Projector: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz. Lamp Power Supply: NC-32PS01: AC 200-230 V 50/60 Hz (3-phase); NC-32PS02: AC 380-415 V 50/60 Hz (3-phase). Ensure your power supply fits these requirements.

Consult your dealer for power cable installation. Do not install yourself. Handle power cable carefully; avoid bending, heavy objects. Shut down AC power if not used for extended periods. Keep power and signal cables separated to avoid beat noise.

Do not touch the projector during a thunder storm.

Cleaning

Turn off power, disconnect plug, and shut down breaker before cleaning. Clean cabinet with a damp cloth; use mild detergent for heavy soiling. Never use strong detergents or solvents. Use a blower or lens paper for the lens; be careful not to scratch.

Fire and Shock Precautions

Ensure sufficient ventilation. Allow at least 8 inches (20 cm) space from walls for the projector and 20 inches (50 cm) for the lamp power supply outlet. Connect exhaust outlet to equipment with 16 m³/min capacity.

Prevent foreign objects from falling into the projector. Do not insert metal objects. If something falls in, disconnect immediately and have it removed by a qualified service person. Do not place liquids on the projector. Keep magnifying glasses out of the light path. Do not cover the lens with the cap while the projector is on.

CAUTION (High Pressure Lamp): Lamp may explode if improperly handled. Refer servicing to qualified personnel. Ask your distributor for cleaning and maintenance.

Lamp Caution: Please read before operation

Risk of explosion if not operated correctly or if operated beyond recommended hours. A "Bulb Over Time" message will display. Contact your dealer for replacement. If the lamp explodes, smoke will be discharged; do not stand in front of vents. If smoke is inhaled or eyes are exposed, flush with water and seek medical attention.

WARNING: Do not look into the lens when the projector is on. Serious eye damage can result. If main body is damaged, cooling fluids may leak. Do not touch or drink cooling fluid. Seek medical attention if swallowed or contacted.

CAUTION: Never unplug the projection head power plug or disconnect the breaker for the lamp power supply while projecting, the projector is on, or cooling down. Doing so can cause damage.

Handling the Battery

Handle with care to avoid fire, injury, or damage. Do not short circuit, dismantle, or place in fire. Use only as designated. Ensure correct polarity. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

Internal battery: When disposing of the main unit, do not dismantle; contact the shop or local government agency.

Disposing of your used product

Follow EU-wide legislation for disposal of used electrical and electronic products. Markings apply to EU Member States. Dispose of separately from household waste according to local authority guidance.
