Control Panel

TYPE STYLE lights: Indicate selected type style.

QUIET light: Indicates quiet mode is selected.

SELECT light: Indicates printer is online. Power light: Indicates printer is on. Alert light: Illuminates for various error conditions (cover open, communication error, paper out, etc.) or flashes during printer malfunction.

TYPE STYLE key: Select desired type style.

PITCH key: Select desired pitch (characters per inch). Increases menu number in memory mode.

QUIET key: Prints at reduced speed/noise. Decreases menu number in memory mode.

FEED key: Advances paper one line; holds for form feed. Resets printer to initialized state with QUIET key. Sets top-of-form with SELECT key.

SELECT key: Toggles online/offline. Suspends/continues printing. Enters memory mode when held while turning power on.

Self-test

1. Load paper, turn printer off.
2. Hold SELECT, turn printer on. Printer enters memory set mode and prints main menu.
3. Press PITCH key repeatedly to select item 7 "TEST PRINT".
4. Press SELECT to begin self-test.

Printer Configuration

1. Use PITCH key to increase menu number.
2. Use QUIET key to decrease menu number.
3. Use SELECT key to enter selected setting.

Memory Switch Menu

1. Load continuous forms, turn printer off.
2. Hold SELECT, turn printer on. Printer enters memory switch menu and prints main menu.

Print Current Memory Switch Settings

1. Enter memory switch menu mode.
2. Select "5" (PRINT ALL CURRENT SETTINGS) using PITCH or QUIET key.
3. Press SELECT to enter.

Change a Memory Switch

1. Enter memory switch menu mode.
2. Select desired setting category (e.g., "1" for print mode).
3. Use PITCH/QUIET keys to cycle through selections, SELECT to choose.
4. Printer shows updated menu. Select "99" to quit to main menu, "6" to save and exit, or "99" to exit without saving.
