Overview

The NEC SuperScript 4400 color laser printer offers fast color and monochrome printing with high resolution and adaptability. The SuperScript 4400N network printer introduces web-based printing capabilities for remote job printing.

SuperScript 4400 Series Highlights

  • Prints 4-8 color pages per minute, up to 16 monochrome pages.

SuperScript 4400N Enhancements

  • NEC PrintAgent software for remote configuration and monitoring.
  • Supports various network protocols (NetWare, TCP/IP, EtherTalk, Windows 3.x/NT 4.0, NetBEUI/NetBIOS).
  • 96 MB RAM standard, expandable to 128 MB.

Line 2:
Printer is not yet ready to operate. It is performing an initial power up check or the fuser unit is warming up to operating temperature.

Line 2:
Printer is online and ready to print under Auto Emulation Switching mode.
Line 1: PRINTING
Line 2:
Printer is printing a page.
Line 1: PROCESSING
Line 2:
Printer is processing a job.
Line 1: PRESS FEED TO PRINT
Line 2:
For job hold feature, this message prompts the user to release the print job for printing. If no key is pressed after a time-out period, the print job is released and this message is changed to “Printing".

Printer is waiting for additional input to complete the print job.

Printer is in power saving mode. When the printer receives a print job, data, or if the Online button is pressed, the printer returns to ready mode.
