LCD-160 Operation Summary

The LCD-160 is a 240 x 128 pixel annunciator that displays fire alarm system status, custom messages, and graphics. It features a 160-character LCD with contrast and backlight control, a rubberized keypad, and onboard status indicators for diagnostics. The device supports software upgrades and foreign language character sets via its serial port. It can mimic the panel's display or show custom content. The LCD-160 also participates in the Display and Control Center (DCC) network for centralized event management. It has two types of keys: soft keys for context-sensitive commands and fixed function keys for system-wide operations like Acknowledge, Signal Silence, System Reset, and Drill. Status LEDs provide immediate visual indication of power, fire alarm, pre-alarm, security, supervisory, system trouble, other events, signals silenced, points disabled, and controls active conditions. The system supports event handling, displaying events in a clear, prioritized format, and allows for individual or block acknowledgments.
