  • Normal Standby Operation: Green POWER indicator lit steadily; FIRE ALARM, TROUBLE, and OTHER indicators off.
  • Alarm Condition: Red FIRE ALARM and/or Yellow OTHER indicator(s) lit; alarm signaling devices activated; option module activated; alarm information visible on LCD.
  • Alarm Reset: Press SYSTEM RESET after correcting alarm condition. Requires two presses if both Fire and MNS conditions are present.
  • Trouble Condition: Trouble indicator illuminates; silence audible signal by pressing ACKNOWLEDGE.
Switch Functions:
  • Acknowledge: Silences piezo sounder, changes flashing to steady, sends acknowledge message.
  • Signal Silence: Turns off all silenceable circuits, illuminates SIGNALS SILENCED indicator.
  • Drill (Alarm Signal On): Activates all silenceable circuits for fire alarms.
  • System Reset: Resets control panel.
  • Lamp Test: Tests LEDs and panel sounder.
LED Indicators:
  • Power: Green (primary power applied).
  • Fire Alarm: Red (flashes for alarms, steady after acknowledged).
  • Pre-Alarm: Red (flashes for pre-alarm threshold).
  • Security: Blue (illuminates for security alarm).
  • Supervisory: Yellow (flashes for supervisory/tamper, steady when acknowledged).
  • System Trouble: Yellow (flashes for troubles, steady when acknowledged).
  • Other Event: Yellow (flashes for MNS, CO, etc., steady when acknowledged).
  • Signals Silenced: Yellow (illuminates after Signal Silence pressed).
  • Point Disabled: Yellow (illuminates when points are disabled).
  • CPU Failure: Yellow (illuminates if microprocessor fails).
  • Controls Active: Green (illuminates when NFS2-3030 controls network primary display).
Audible Sounder:
  • Alarm: Continuous tone.
  • Trouble, Disable, Pre-alarm: Two beeps/sec.
  • Supervisory: Four beeps/sec.
  • Security: Eight beeps/sec.
Testing & Maintenance: Follow NFPA 72 and CAN/ULC-S536. Notify authorities before testing. Physically disconnect releasing devices. Perform operational checks and walk tests. Battery checks are crucial for system reliability.

Troubleshooting and error codes
