The standard replacement period for the remote control batteries is 1 year.
Select operating modes like Automatic, Heating, Cooling, Dry, or Air Circulation using the MODE button on the remote. Use the ON/OFF button to start and stop the unit. Adjust temperature using the TEMP buttons. Special operations include Powerful and Quiet modes, Timer settings, and Odour Wash mode.
Adjust fan speed through 5 stages (apart from auto) using the FAN SPEED button. Select from 5 stages of air swings using the AIR SWING button. Vertical airflow direction can be set automatically or adjusted manually.
This mode removes odours and prevents mould growth. It can be set for Odour Clear Operation or Odour Removing operations during cooling/dry seasons.
| Is it faulty? | No, it is okay | ||
| Hot air and water coming out from the outdoor unit during heating operations. | When the outdoor temperature is low and humidity is high, frost will collect at the outdoor unit. The defrosting causes them to turn into hot air and water. | ||
| The room has a peculiar odour. | The "environmental odours" derived from walls, carpets, furniture, clothes and etc., are being circulated in the ventilation system. | ||
| ODOUR WASH lamp blinking | ODOUR WASH LAMP BLINKING The accumulated odour from the interior of the air conditioner had permeated the air. Open all windows while operating the unit and the ventilation system. Odour removing operation in progress for 20 minutes, the lamp blinks. (Page 16) Timer setting of odour clear operation in progress for 50 minutes, the lamp blinks. (Page 17) | ||
| Indoor unit operation lamp blinking. | Starting of automatic operations The lamp will be blinking when certain types of operating modes are being selected. On confirmation of certain type of operating mode, the lamp will be on. Starting of heating operations The lamp will be blinking when air outflow has been stopped to prevent cold air from coming out. During heating operations When the outdoor temperature is low and humidity is high, frost will collect at the outdoor unit. During defrosting (Defrosting operations), the lamp will be blinking. Please wait for 12 minutes for the operation to complete. | ||
| Air outflow do not come out. Air outflow stopped. | COOLING DRY (During automatic fan speed mode with the ODOUR WASH lamp on) Starting of heating operations..... No air outflow for approximately 40 seconds (Page 16) To prevent the outflow of air that carries those environmental odours. Operations in progress. There are times when there is air outflow and stopping of air outflow due to energy saving mode activated when the room temperature reaches the set temperature. DRY (fan speed setting) To prevent extreme cooling, there are times when the air outflow is stopped. The air outflow will resume after the room temperature has increased. HEATING Starting of heating operations..... There may be no air outflow yet to prevent cold air from being blown out. During defrosting operations....... There may be no air outflow to allow the outdoor unit to defrost. | ||
| Immediately no outflow of cold air or warm air. | For resumption of operations after stopping, the air outflow will be on hold for 3 minutes, to protect the air conditioner. | ||
| There is noise. | Occasionally there is a knocking sound. This is the sound caused by the switching over of refrigerant gas in the system during defrosting and end of operations. "Pitt" sound: Caused by shrinkage of the resin made parts of the air conditioner due to change in temperature. Sound of flowing water: Caused by the flow of refrigerant gas through the air conditioner system. | ||
| Presence of condensate during cooling operations. | Caused by the condensation of the water vapour found in the room air, upon contact with the cold air outflow from the air conditioner. | ||
| Air outflow continues even after operation has stopped. | Extraction of remaining heat in the indoor unit. (Maximum duration: 30 seconds) | ||
| Vertical louvres closed during operations | During heating The vertical airflow direction louvres are closed to prevent the outflow of cold air. |
