Panasonic provides a 1-year parts and labor warranty for camcorders in the USA and Puerto Rico.

Inserting the battery: Insert the battery until it clicks and locks. Charging the battery: Turn off the unit. Connect the USB cable to the AC adaptor and plug it into the AC outlet. The status indicator will flash red during charging and turn off when complete. Turning the unit on/off: Press the power button to turn on. Hold the power button until the indicator goes off to turn off. Opening/closing the LCD monitor also turns the unit on/off. Selecting a mode: Use the mode switch to select Recording or Playback mode. Recording motion pictures: Change to Recording mode, open LCD, press record start/stop button. Recording still pictures: Change to Recording mode, open LCD, press the button to take picture. Playback: Change to Playback mode, select icon using cursor buttons, press ENTER. Use operation icons (playback/pause, rewind, fast forward) to control playback. Media Selection (HC-V10M/HC-V11M): Use MENU to select [MEDIA SELECT] and choose between SD CARD or Built-in Memory for VIDEO or PICTURE.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Unit does not turn on. Battery is not charged. Charge the battery.
Cannot record. SD card is full or not inserted. Insert a new SD card or delete unnecessary files.
Playback is jerky. SD card speed is too slow. Use a faster SD card.
