- Power supply: Compatible batteries are VW-VBT190/VW-VBT380. Use genuine Panasonic products or those certified by Panasonic.
- Inserting/removing battery: Turn unit off, then insert or remove battery using the release lever.
- Charging: Charge battery fully before first use via AC adaptor or USB cable. Unit can be used while AC adapter is connected.
- Recording to card: Use SD cards Class 4 or higher for general recording, Class 10 for FULL HD Slow Motion Video.
- Turning unit on/off: Use power button or open/close LCD monitor.
- Selecting modes: Switch between Recording Mode (Motion Picture/Still Picture) and Playback Mode using the recording/playback button.
- Touch screen operation: Touch to select, slide to move. Understand operation icons.
- Setting date and time: Access via MENU > SETUP > CLOCK SET.
