Panasonic warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year for camcorder parts and labor.
- **Inserting the battery:** Open LCD monitor, open SD card cover, insert SD card, face label side as shown, push firmly. Close SD card cover until it clicks.
- **Charging the battery:** Connect AC adapter to DC input terminal, then connect AC cable to AC adapter and outlet. Status indicator flashes red during charging.
- **Turning the unit on/off:** Press power button to turn on. Hold power button until status indicator goes off to turn off. Unit also turns on/off with LCD monitor opening/closing.
- **Selecting a mode:** Use mode switch to change between Motion Picture Recording, Still Picture Recording, and Playback modes.
- **Recording motion pictures:** Change mode to , open LCD, press start/stop button.
- **Recording still pictures:** Change mode to , open LCD, press button fully.
- **Selecting media to record:** Change mode, select menu, choose media (SD card, built-in memory, or HDD) for recording and press ENTER.
- **Playback:** Change mode to , touch play mode select icon, choose media, then touch scene/picture to play. Select operation by touching icon.
