Getting Started with Your Panasonic HDC-SD9P/PC

1. Charging the Battery: Connect the AC adapter to the camera and a power outlet. Insert the battery, ensuring it clicks into place. The charging lamp will indicate the charging status.

2. Inserting the SD Card: Open the LCD monitor, slide the SD CARD OPEN lever, and insert the SD card until it clicks. Close the SD card cover securely.

3. Powering On: Slide the mode switch to the desired mode (e.g., movie or still) while pressing the lock release button. To turn off, set the mode switch to OFF.

4. Recording Movies: Select the recording mode, open the LCD monitor, and press the record start/stop button.

5. Recording Still Pictures: Select the photo mode, open the LCD monitor, and fully press the photoshot button.

6. Playback: Select the playback mode, choose either motion picture or still picture playback, select the desired scene/picture, and use the playback controls.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Camera does not turn on. Battery is not charged or not inserted correctly. Charge the battery or reinsert it.
No picture is recorded. SD card is full, not inserted correctly, or not compatible. Insert a new SD card, check insertion, or use a compatible card.
Poor picture quality. Lens is dirty or scratched. Clean the lens with a proper lens cleaner and paper.
Interference with recordings. Subjected to strong magnetic fields or incorrect settings. Move to a different location or check settings.
Cannot connect to PC. USB cable not connected properly or driver issues. Ensure correct connection and install necessary drivers.
