Warranty Information

One year limited warranty on camcorder, except for CCD image sensor (6 months). Labor limited to 90 days.

Getting Started

  • Insert Battery: Slide viewfinder back, tilt up, insert battery until it clicks.
  • Insert Cassette: Set POWER to VCR, slide TAPE EJECT, insert cassette with window up, press PUSH TO CLOSE.
  • Camera Recording: Set POWER to CAMERA, open LCD monitor, press RECORD/PAUSE to start/pause.
  • Insert MultiMediaCard: Open LCD monitor, slide CARD EJECT to open M-CARD door, insert card, close door.
  • Playback: Set POWER to VCR, open LCD monitor, press REW, press PLAY to start, press STOP to stop.
  • Supplying Power: Connect AC adaptor, attach battery, charge until lamps are all on. Remove battery when not in use for longer life.
  • Setting Clock: Press MENU, select DISPLAY SETTING, select CLOCK SET to ON, adjust date/time using JOG KEY.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Correction
No picture in the EVF or LCD Monitor ... • Make sure the Power Source is connected. (pp. 12, 13)
• Make sure the POWER switch is set to ON. (pp. 30, 35)
• Check the Dew Indicator. (p. 29)
• Make sure the battery is fully charged. (p. 11)
• Make sure all necessary cables are connected correctly and firmly. (p. 13)
Video cassette can't be inserted • Make sure the Lens Cap is removed. (p. 30)
• Make sure the Power Source is connected. (pp. 12, 13)
Video cassette can't be removed • Insert the cassette with the window side facing up. (p. 8)
No operation starts when operation buttons are pressed • Make sure the Power Source is connected. (pp. 12, 13)
Recording cannot be done ... • Check the Dew Indicator. (p. 29)
• Make sure the record tab is closed. (p. 15)
• Check the Battery Indicator. (p. 26)
Auto Focus does not operate • Make sure the FOCUS is set to AUTO. (p. 56)
• Make sure the unit is ON with CAMERA mode. (p. 30)
Sound from microphone can't be monitored • Make sure the unit is set to REC or Record/Pause mode.
Sound can't be heard • Make sure the Audio on the VCR MENU is set to ST1. (pp. 25, 60)
