Quick Guide

  1. Charge the Battery: Connect AC adaptor and wall outlet. Attach battery to adaptor. Wait for CHARGE lamp to go off.
  2. Attach Charged Battery: Attach the battery to the Palmcorder after tilting the viewfinder upward.
  3. Turn On: Slide the power switch to [ON]. The [CAMERA] Lamp lights up.
  4. Insert Cassette: Open the cassette compartment, insert cassette, press [PUSH/TO CLOSE], and close the cover.
  5. Start Recording: Press the Record button. Press again to pause.
  6. Playback: Switch to VCR mode, rewind tape, and play.
  7. Turn Off: Set the power switch to [OFF].

Troubleshooting and error codes

The camcorder will not turn on.Is the power source correctly connected?
The camcorder automatically shuts off.Is the camcorder left in pause mode for over 5 minutes? This is for battery protection and energy saving.
The camcorder power does not last long enough.Is the battery weak? Charge the battery or use a fully charged battery.
The camcorder does not function correctly or is on but no functions work.Press the [RESET] button with a pointed instrument. If the problem persists, disconnect power, wait 1 minute, reconnect, and turn on.
The battery drains quickly.Is the battery fully charged? Is the battery stored in extreme cold? Is the battery worn out?
The battery cannot be recharged.Is the DC cable connected to the AC adaptor? For charging, the DC cable must be disconnected.
Recording does not start even though the camcorder is on and the cassette is correctly inserted.Is the accidental erasure prevention slider open? Is the tape at the end? Is the [CAMERA] indicator on? Is there condensation?
Audio dubbing function does not work.Is the accidental erasure prevention slider open? Is the tape at the end? Is [AUDIO] set to [MIX] instead of [ST1]? Is the variable speed search function active?
Time code becomes imprecise.This may occur during slow-motion playback and is not a malfunction.
Remaining time display on cassette disappears.This may happen momentarily after recording still images. It reappears when the camcorder is reset. For scenes under 15 seconds, the display might not be accurate. The remaining time may be 2-3 minutes shorter than the actual remaining time.
