This product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year, with a 90-day warranty on labor.

  • **Charging the Battery Pack:** Plug in AC adapter, insert battery. CHARGE lamp flashes during charging and stays lit when complete.
  • **Inserting a Cassette:** Turn tape wheel, attach battery, slide TAPE EJECT to open door, insert cassette, press to close door.
  • **Camera Recording:** Press LCD-OPEN, set POWER to CAMERA, press RECORD/PAUSE to start/pause recording.
  • **Playback using LCD Monitor:** Press LCD-OPEN, set POWER to VCR, use playback function buttons (REW/PLAY/STOP), adjust volume and brightness.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Auto Focus does not operate• Set FOCUS to AUTO. • Set POWER to CAMERA.
Sound from microphone can't be monitored• Set unit to REC or Record/Pause mode.
Camera picture is too dark• Set HIGH SPEED SHUTTER to AUTO.
No playback picture, or the playback picture is noisy or contains streaks• Press UP ▲/DOWN▼ button during playback (Tracking Control).
"Panasonic ITS TAPES PLAY IN YOUR VCR ..." appears in EVF or LCD Monitor• Set POWER to CAMERA, then set SELF DEMO : OFF in MENU screen to cancel Demo mode.
Top of playback picture waves back and forth excessively• A playback signal is not as stable as an off the air TV signal, so the top of your TV screen may appear bent or unstable during playback. This is called, "Horizontal AFC time constant change." To correct, slowly turn the TV horizontal hold control. If your TV does not have this control, or adjusting it does not help, contact your TV service center. (Some nominal service charges may be required.)
