Warranty Information

Panasonic offers a limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for one year on the camera and accessories.

Basic Operations:

Turning On/Off: Slide the power switch to [ON] to turn on the unit. The status indicator lights red. Slide to [OFF] to turn off. The indicator goes out.

Quick Start: If enabled, closing the LCD turns on standby. Opening it again is ready for recording in 1.5 seconds.

Mode Selection: Rotate the Mode Dial to switch between Motion Picture Recording, Motion Picture Playback, Still Picture Recording, Still Picture Playback, and PC Connection modes.

LCD Monitor Adjustment: The monitor can be rotated for various angles for recording and playback. Be careful not to exceed the recommended angles.

Using the Cursor Button: Use the cursor button for navigation on the LCD screen to select items and menus.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No power Battery depleted. Charge the battery.
Cannot record SD card full or not inserted. Insert an SD card or format it. Check card capacity.
Image is blurry Lens dirty or out of focus. Clean the lens. Adjust focus or use auto focus.
Sound is distorted Microphone obstructed or set incorrectly. Check microphone and settings.
LCD screen has spots LCD production limitations or high temperature. This is normal and does not affect recording. Turn off and let it rest.
