Quick Guide
- Inserting the battery: Slide and open the battery cover, insert the battery until it clicks, then close and slide the cover.
- Charging the battery: Select OFF on the mode dial, open the LCD monitor and terminal cover, connect the AC cable to the AC adaptor and outlet, then connect the AC adaptor to the unit.
- Turning on the camera: Press the lock release button, set the mode dial to a recording mode (Movie, Still Picture, or Playback), and align the status indicator.
- Inserting an SD card: Open the LCD monitor, open the SD card slot cover, insert the SD card, then securely close the cover.
- Recording motion pictures: Set the mode dial to Movie mode, press the recording start/stop button to begin, and press it again to pause.
- Recording still pictures: Set the mode dial to Still Picture mode and press the recording start/stop button.
- Playback: Set the mode dial to Playback mode, select the scene/file using the joystick, and press the joystick. Use the joystick for playback operations like play, pause, skip, and stop.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| Flashes rapidly at approx. 0.25 second intervals: | The battery cannot be charged. Try removing and reinserting the battery and try recharging. Check if the battery temperature or surrounding temperature is too high/low. If charging does not commence, contact consumer support. (→ 111) |
| Flashes slowly at approx. 3 second intervals: | Charging requires time due to battery discharge or extreme temperatures. |
