Troubleshooting and error codes

When I try to set up a Wi-Fi connection with a Windows 8 PC, my user name and password are not recognized, so I cannot connect to the PC.- Incorrect account type used.- Use the user name and password for the local account.
The PC is not recognized when I use a Wi-Fi connection. The camera cannot be connected to PC via Wi-Fi connection.- Workgroup name mismatch.- In [PC Connection], change workgroup name to match the PC's.

I have forgotten the password for the Wi-Fi.- Need to reset network settings.- Execute [Reset Network Settings] in the [Setup] menu (P244). This will reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings.
The picture does not appear on the television.- Camera not connected correctly to TV.- Check camera connection to TV (P308).

VIERA Link does not work.- VIERA Link not enabled.- Check if [VIERA Link] is set to [ON] (P239).

- Formatting prompt.- Do not format the card when prompted.
- USB connection issue.- Disconnect USB cable after turning unit off if [Access] does not disappear.
The picture cannot be printed when the camera is connected to a printer.- Printer does not support PictBridge.- Print using a printer that supports PictBridge.
- Set to [PictBridge(PTP)] in [USB Mode] (P239, 316).
The ends of the pictures are cut at printing.- Printer's Cropping or borderless printing function.- Cancel Cropping or borderless printing function before printing.
- Ask photo studio if 16:9 pictures can be printed.
When I shake the camera, I hear a rattling sound from the attached lens.- Normal lens movement.- Depending on the lens, it may move and create a sound; this is not a malfunction.
The camera makes a noise when this unit is turned on.- Dust Reduction Function operating.- This is the noise of the Dust Reduction Function working (P340); it is not a malfunction.
There is a sound from lens unit.- Lens movement or aperture operation.- This is a sound of lens movement or aperture operation; it is not a malfunction.
- Automatic aperture adjustment.- The sound is caused by automatic adjustment of the aperture due to brightness changes; this is not a malfunction.
An unreadable language was selected by mistake.- Incorrect language setting.- Press [MENU/SET], select [Setup] menu icon [F], then select [3] icon to set the desired language (P240).
A red lamp sometimes turns on when the shutter button is pressed halfway.- AF Assist Lamp in dark places.- In dark places, the AF Assist Lamp (P225) lights red to make focusing easier.
The camera becomes warm.- Normal operation.- The surface and monitor may become warm during use; this does not affect performance or quality.
The clock is reset.- Camera not used for a long time.- [Please set the clock] message will be displayed; please reset the clock (P39).
