Camera Handling: Keep the camera away from excessive vibration, force, or pressure. It is not dust resistant, splash resistant, or waterproof. Avoid dusty, sandy, or wet conditions, and prevent contact with pesticides or volatile substances. If condensation occurs, turn off the camera for about two hours. When cleaning, remove the battery or disconnect the power, and use a soft, dry cloth; avoid solvents and excessive force on the LCD or lens. Do not leave the lens facing the sun, extend cords, or turn off the camera/remove battery/card during operations like writing, reading, or formatting. Format cards only on the camera. Store the battery in a cool, dry place and charge it once a year if storing for a long time.

Standard Accessories: Check for Battery pack (DMW-BCM13E), AC adaptor (VSK0775), Hand strap (VFC4297), USB connection cable (K1HY08YY0031), and CD-ROM (VFF1256). Optional accessories like SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards are noted. Use genuine Panasonic accessories.

Charging the Battery: Ensure the camera is off. Connect the battery to the camera and then connect to the AC adaptor or a PC using the supplied USB connection cable. Charging time is approximately 170 minutes. The charging lamp is red; 'On' means charging, 'Off' means charging stopped, 'Flashing' indicates an error. Do not use other USB cables or AC adaptors. Do not use the supplied AC adaptor or USB cable with other devices.

Setting the Clock: After powering on the camera and pressing the MENU/SET button, navigate to set the year, month, day, hour, and minute. You can choose automatic time correction using GPS or manual settings. Home area can also be set.

Setting the Menu: Use the MENU/SET button to display the menu. Navigate using the cursor buttons or control dial to select the desired menu (Rec, Setup, Playback, Motion Picture, GPS, Wi-Fi). Select items within the menu and press MENU/SET to confirm. The menu can be exited by pressing Q.MENU/S or halfway pressing the shutter button.

Taking Pictures with Automatic Settings: Set the mode dial to [A] (Intelligent Auto Mode). Point at the subject and press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press fully to take the picture. The camera automatically detects scenes like Portrait, Baby, Scenery, Sunset, Macro, Food, Night Portrait, Night Scenery, Handheld Night Shot.

Troubleshooting and error codes
