Getting Started

  • Unpack and identify all accessories.
  • Connect speakers to the main unit (Step 2).
  • Connect the main unit to your television using the appropriate cable (Step 3).
  • Connect the subwoofer, antennas, and AC power lead (Step 4).
  • Install batteries in the remote control (Step 5).
  • Perform Quick Setup by following on-screen prompts (Step 6).

Basic Playback

  • Insert a disc and press Play [ PLAY ].
  • Adjust volume using the VOLUME controls.
  • Pause playback with [ II ], and resume with [ PLAY ].
  • Stop playback with [ ■ ].

Other Functions

  • Use the remote control buttons for various functions like skipping tracks, repeat play, and sound field adjustments.
  • Change settings like audio language, TV aspect, and AV output via the SETUP menu.

Cannot add markers.• You cannot add markers while playing a play list or if the disc's play time doesn't appear on the unit's display.17
RAMThere are already markers.•The unit reads and displays the markers added with a DVD video recorder. You can clear them but reappear when you switch the unit to standby, change the source, or open the disc tray. •The unit numbers markers by time so they change when you add and delete them.
RAMMarker numbers I added are different when I call them up.
Cannot select random or program play.• You cannot select random or program play with some DVD-Video.
Folders deeper than the eighth layer on a data CD are not displayed correctly.•Folders deeper than the eighth layer are displayed as the eighth layer.
You have forgotten your ratings password.While stopped and "DVD/CD" is the source, press and hold [■] on the unit and [≥10] on the remote control for about 3 seconds until "Initialized" disappears from the television. Turn the unit off and on again. All settings will return to the default values.
7, 30No sound.•Check the connections. • Turn the volume up. • Turn muting off. • Switch off the unit, determine and correct the cause, then switch the unit on. Causes include: -Shorting (bare wires touching) of positive and negative speaker wires. -Using speakers with an impedance lower than that rated for this unit. -Straining of the speakers through excessive volume or power. -Using the unit in a hot environment without proper ventilation. •An AC mains lead or fluorescent light is near the subwoofer. Keep other appliances and cords away from the subwoofer.7, 30
