  • Check and identify the supplied accessories.
  • Turn the computer over.
  • Slide the battery pack in parallel with the arrow direction.
  • Attach the battery pack so that the left and right projections (A) on the battery pack match the dents (B) of the computer.
  • Hold the side of the computer with either of your hands and then hold and lift the (A) part to open the display.
  • Connect the AC adaptor. The battery charging starts automatically.
  • Slide and hold the power switch (page 34) until the power indicator (page 34) lights.
  • Select language and click [Next].
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Click (Start).
  • Click (Power) - [Restart].
  • Connect to the internet. Sign in to Windows as an administrator.
  • Update the on-screen manual.

Troubleshooting and error codes

If the battery pack appears to be damaged or deformed, or if it emits smoke, abnormal odor, excessive heat, or other abnormality, remove it from the computer immediately.
