Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Troubleshooting Steps
Cannot turn off the computer. Disconnect all external peripherals. Wait one or two minutes.
Screen becomes temporarily black. This can happen when the Display power saving function is enabled. It is not a malfunction. You can use it as is.
No display. External display may be selected. Press Fn + F3 (or + P) to switch screens. If the screen is still black, the computer may be in sleep or hibernation mode. Slide the power switch to resume.
Garbled screen. External display is selected. Try switching screens. If the issue persists, adjust the LCD's refresh rate in Graphics Properties. Or, the external display may not support power-saving functions; try turning it off.
External display not functioning normally. Check if the external display is selected. If not, try switching displays. Ensure the external display supports power-saving features. If not, try turning off the external display.
Battery indicator is red. Battery level is very low (around 9% or less). Connect the AC adapter. If you don't have an AC adapter, save your data and turn off the computer. Replace the battery with a fully charged one.
Battery indicator blinks. Red blinking: Save data and turn off the computer. Remove battery and AC adapter, then reconnect. If the problem persists, contact Panasonic support. The battery pack or charging circuit may be damaged. Orange blinking: Battery cannot be charged temporarily due to internal temperature. Computer can be used. Charging will resume automatically when the temperature is within range. Or, applications/peripherals are consuming too much power. Close applications and disconnect peripherals. Charging will resume automatically when the temperature is within range.
Battery indicator flashes. The battery is being charged.
Cursor not functioning. Connect an external mouse. Restart the computer. If the issue persists, check "No response" section.
Cannot input using the touchpad. Set the Touch Pad to [Enabled] in the Setup Utility. Check the driver for any specific mouse that might be disabling the touchpad.
PDF documents do not display. Install Adobe Reader. Log on as administrator. Enter the specified path to run Adobe Reader. Update Adobe Reader to the latest version.
No response. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager and close unresponsive applications. Check for hidden input screens by pressing Alt+Tab. Force shut down the computer by holding the power switch for four seconds, then restart. If an application is not working, uninstall and reinstall it.
Computer does not recognize CD/DVD drive. Ensure the bootable CD/DVD is inserted correctly. Check the Setup Utility to ensure the "Optical Drive Power" is set to "On" and "Boot Option #1" is set to "CD/DVD Drive". If an external CD/DVD drive is connected, it may prevent the internal drive from being recognized.
Forgot password. For supervisor password, contact Panasonic support. For administrator password, if another administrator account exists, log on with it and delete the problem password. If a password reset disk exists, use it. Otherwise, reinstall Windows and set up again.
"Remove disks or other media. Press any key to restart" message appears. Remove any floppy disks or USB memory devices. Disconnect USB devices or disable USB ports in the Setup Utility. If the message persists, there might be a hard disk issue. Reinstall Windows or contact support.
Day and time are incorrect. Set the correct date and time through the Control Panel. If the problem persists, the internal clock battery may need replacement. Check server time if connected to a network. The system may not recognize dates after 2100.
Battery charge correction utility screen appears. The Windows shutdown process was interrupted. Turn off the computer, then turn it back on to complete the shutdown and correction.
Sleep/hibernate resume screen does not appear. Set the "Boot password" in the Setup Utility to "Enabled". Use the Windows password for security upon resuming.
Computer does not automatically enter sleep/hibernate mode. If using wireless LAN for network connection, configure access point settings. If not using wireless LAN, turn off the wireless LAN function.
Audio glitches during resume from sleep/hibernate. Ensure no software is constantly accessing the hard disk. To prevent startup sounds, disable "Play Windows startup sound" in the Sound settings.
Cannot resume. This may happen if the AC adapter or battery pack was removed, or external devices were connected/disconnected during sleep mode. Slide the power switch to turn on the computer. Unsaved data may be lost. Check for disk errors.
Cannot log on to Windows / "User name or password is incorrect" message appears. User name contains '@'. If there are other user accounts, try deleting the '@' user and creating a new one. If not, reinstall Windows.
Password is requested again after entering it. Num Lock lamp is on: Press Num Lock to disable. Caps Lock lamp is on: Press Shift + Caps Lock to disable.
