Playback: Insert a CD, release HOLD, press PLAY/PAUSE. Adjust volume.
MP3 Playback: Insert MP3 CD, unit reads files automatically.
Radio: Release HOLD, press TUNER/BAND to select FM/AM, press TUNING MODE to scan, adjust volume.
Programming: While stopped, select tracks using FF/REW, press MEMORY/RECALL to register. Press PLAY to start.
Sound Quality: Press S-XBS for bass boost or enhanced S-XBS.
Anti-Skip: Hold MEMORY/RECALL while stopped to select anti-skip memory time for CD-DA.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause/Remedy
No play. •HOLD function is on. Release HOLD.
•Disc is not set correctly.
•Disc is scratched or dirty.
•Moisture on the lens. Wait an hour.
•Lens is dirty. Clean with a blower or cotton swab.
•Unit may not read MP3 correctly if shaken.
•Multi-session disc playback may not be possible if there's a blank data segment.
•Large JPEG data in MP3 file may cause muted sound.
•If playing CD-ROM data and audio data, one may be silent.
No sound or a lot of noise. •Ensure plugs are inserted firmly.
•Wipe plugs clean.
•Poor recording quality may cause noise with MP3.
•Repeated bumps may interrupt sound. Separate from mobile telephones.
Play doesn't resume from the last point stopped. •HOLD function is on.
•Does not work during random play.
•May not work correctly under some conditions.
Play doesn't start from the first track. •Random play modes may be on.
•Play resumes from the last point stopped.
The unit stops working. Disconnect and reconnect all power sources.
Cannot search through MP3 files. You cannot search through MP3 files.
Cannot search through tracks. You cannot skip between the first and last albums during play.
Cannot change the Digital Re-master mode, anti-skip mode. If [■] or [►►] is pressed before [MEMORY/RECALL], you cannot change the mode.
Digital Re-master does not work. Effect may not appear depending on MP3 disc recording type.
