Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
When the USB cable is connected, a green [?] mark is indicated in [USB Mass Storage Device] in [Device Manager] of the Windows OS. The USB cable is connected without installing the USB Driver (supplied). Remove the USB cable and install the USB Driver according to the procedure shown on page 46.
When the USB cable is removed when Windows Me is used, Device removal warning appears. The USB cable is connected without installing the USB Driver (supplied). Install the USB Driver. For how to disconnect the USB cable on Windows XP or Windows 2000, refer to page 49.
The Jog Ball or others cannot be activated. [● HOLD] appears on the LCD monitor. Press the [MENU] Button for about 2 or more seconds to clear [● HOLD].
Red, blue, green or white dots appear on the screen. 0.01% or less of the pixels of some LCD Monitors may remain turned on or off. This is not a malfunction and does not affect the recorded picture.
If the SD Video Camera is used continuously for a long time or used at a high ambient temperature, red, blue, green or white dots may appear on the screen and be recorded on a still picture. This is due to the rise of the temperature inside the body. Turn the SD Video Camera off and leave it for a while.
