Functional overview

Front of player

  • POWER ON/OFF: Switches the player on/off.
  • Standby indicator: Lights up red when the player is in Standby mode.
  • SOUND MODE: Selects the required sound mode (CD, Stereo, Multi-channel for SACD; Stereo, Dolby Surround, 3D Sound, Multi-channel for DVD/VCD).
  • Display: Shows the current status of the player.
  • II PAUSE: Interrupts audio/video play or steps to the next picture frame.
  • ► PLAY: Starts audio/video play.
  • ■ STOP: Stops audio/video play.

Rear of player

  • VOLTAGE SELECTOR: For selecting 100/120V or 220/240V.
  • MAINS: Power supply socket for connection to the mains.
  • Filter switch: For advanced use.
  • GND: Ground connector for system grounding.
  • MULTI-CHANNEL AUDIO OUT: For connection to a multi-channel receiver (SUBW, CENTER, SURROUND, FRONT).
  • DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: Optical and Coaxial digital audio output.
  • STEREO OUT: Audio outputs for amplifier/receiver/stereo system.
  • VIDEO OUT: Composite (CVBS) and S-Video (Y/C) outputs for TV connection.
  • TO TV-I/O: Euroconnector for TV connection.
  • AUX-I/O: Euroconnector for VCR connection.

Remote control

Various buttons for playback control (STOP, SOUND MODE, PLAY, REVERSE, PAUSE, SLOW, FORWARD, PREVIOUS, RESUME, NEXT), menu navigation (MENU SYSTEM, RETURN, OK), disc information (TITLE, CHAPTER, TRACK TIME, REM TIME), and special functions (SCAN, SHUFFLE, REPEAT A-B, FTS).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Distorted pictureClean disc with a soft cloth from center to edge. Note: Slight distortion may appear and is not a malfunction.
Completely distorted picture with player menuPress STOP and ►► FORWARD simultaneously while turning player ON to reset NTSC/PAL switch.
No colour in picture with player menuPress STOP and ►► FORWARD simultaneously while turning player ON to reset NTSC/PAL switch.
No return to start-up screen when disc is removedReset by switching player OFF then ON. Check if program requires another disc.
The player does not respond to the remote controlAim remote control at player sensor. Check batteries. Check device code setting.
