No components are user-serviceable. Do not open or remove covers. Repairs may only be done by Philips Service Centres.

Enlarge teletext pages:

After updating the TV software, press TELETEXT, select a page, then press (Picture format) to enlarge the top part, press again to enlarge the bottom part. Use to scroll and (Picture format) to return to normal size.

Use dual screen teletext:

Press Dual screen on the remote to enable dual screen teletext. Press it again to exit.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
The TV does not switch on Unplug the mains cord, wait for one minute and plug in again. Verify that the mains cord is properly connected and that the mains are powered.
The remote control is not working properly Verify that the remote control batteries are correctly inserted. Replace batteries if flat or weak. Clean the remote control and TV sensor lens.
Standby light blinks red Turn off the TV and unplug the mains cord. Wait for the TV to cool down before reconnecting and turning on. Contact Customer Support if the blinking recurs.
Forgot code to unlock Child lock Enter '8888' as described in Section 5.8.3.
TV menu in the wrong language See Section 6.1 for instructions on changing the TV menu language.
Creaking sound when turning TV on/off/to standby No action required. This is normal expansion and contraction.
Previously installed channels do not appear Verify that the correct list is selected. The channel may have been uninstalled; access Rearrange menu via MENU > TV Menu > Installation > Channel installation > Rearrange.
No digital channels found during installation Verify if the TV supports DVB-T in your country.
No picture, but power is on Verify antenna connection and that the correct device is selected.
Sound but no picture Verify picture settings are correctly set (Section 5.3.2).
Poor TV reception Check antenna connection. Change antenna direction or move devices away from the TV. Verify correct TV system is selected (Section 6.2). Fine tune channel if reception is poor on only one channel (Section 6.2.1).
Poor picture quality from connected devices Check device connections and ensure devices are assigned to connectors (Section 7.4.1). Verify picture settings (Section 5.3.2).
TV did not save settings Verify TV is set to Home mode (Section 5.4).
Picture does not fit screen (too big/small) Try a different picture format (Section 5.3.4). Assign device to connectors (Section 7.4.1).
Picture position on screen is incorrect Check the signal output of the device.
No sound from TV Check cable connections, volume (not 0), and that sound is not muted.
Poor sound quality Check Sound settings (Section 5.3.5), verify Stereo and Equalizer settings. Reset audio settings if needed.
Sound from one speaker only Verify Balance setting (Section 5.3.5).
HDMI connection issues HDCP support may cause delay. Try switching devices. Check HDMI device output settings or connect audio via AUDIO IN. If using HDMI-to-DVI adaptor, connect additional audio cable to AUDIO IN.
USB connection issues Set device to 'Mass Storage Class'. USB device may not be compatible. Not all files are supported (Section 8).
PC connection issues Check supported resolution and refresh rate on PC (Section 8).
