Power ON/OFF

  • Turning the unit on: Press SOURCE to turn the unit on. When you select a source, the unit is turned on.
  • Selecting a source: Press SOURCE repeatedly to cycle through the available sources: Built-in CD player, Tuner.
  • Turning the unit off: Press SOURCE and hold until the unit turns off.

Tuner

  • Listening to the radio: Press SOURCE to select the tuner, use VOLUME to adjust sound level, and BAND to select a band (FM1, FM2, FM3, or AM). Manual tuning is done with ◄ or ►. Seek tuning uses a long press of ◄ or ►.
  • Storing and recalling broadcast frequencies: Find a frequency, press and hold a preset button (1-6) until it flashes, then it is stored. Press the button again to recall. Up to 18 FM and 6 AM stations can be stored.
  • Tuning in strong signals: Press LOCAL/BSM to turn local seek tuning on (LOC appears). Press again to turn it off.
  • Storing the strongest broadcast frequencies (BSM): Press and hold LOCAL/BSM until BSM flashes. The six strongest frequencies are stored.

Built-in CD Player

  • Playing a CD: Insert a CD, press SOURCE to select the CD player, and use VOLUME for sound level. Use ◄ or ► for fast forward/reverse, and ◄ or ► to skip tracks.
  • Playing tracks in a random order: Press 4 to turn random play on (RDM appears). Press again to turn it off.
  • Repeating play: Press 5 to turn repeat play on (RPT appears). Press again to turn it off.
  • Pausing CD playback: Press 6 to turn pause on (PAUSE appears). Press again to turn it off.

Audio Adjustments

  • Introduction: Press AUDIO to cycle through audio functions: FAD (balance), EQ (equalizer), LOUD (loudness), FIE (front image enhancer), SLA (source level).
  • Balance adjustment: Select FAD, then use ▲/▼ for front/rear balance and ◄/► for left/right balance.
  • Equalizer: Press EQ to select the equalizer (SPR-BASS, POWERFUL, NATURAL, VOCAL, CUSTOM, EQ FLAT). Adjust bands (EQ-L, EQ-M, EQ-H) and levels using ▲/▼ and ◄/►. Fine adjustment of center frequency and Q factor is possible.
  • Loudness: Press AUDIO to select LOUD, then press ▲ to turn it on (LOUD indicator). Use ◄/► to select level (LOW, MID, HI). Can also be controlled with LOUDNESS button.
  • Front Image Enhancer (FIE): Press AUDIO to select FIE, then ▲ to turn it on. Use ◄/► to select frequency. Turn off for 2-speaker systems.
  • Source Levels (SLA): Press AUDIO to select SLA. Use ▲/▼ to adjust source volume relative to FM tuner.

Other Functions

  • Setting the clock: Press and hold SOURCE until unit turns off. Press and hold AUDIO until clock appears. Use ◄/► to select segment (Hour/Minute), then ▲/▼ to set. BAND cancels settings.
  • Turning clock display on/off: Press CLOCK. Display may temporarily disappear during other operations.

Additional Information

  • Error messages: Refer to table for ERROR codes, causes, and actions.
  • CD player and care: Use only Compact Disc Digital Audio marked CDs. Avoid damaged discs, touching the recorded surface, and extreme temperatures. Clean discs from the center outwards. Condensation may occur in cold weather.
  • CD-R/CD-RW discs: Only finalized discs are playable. Playback may not be possible due to disc characteristics, recording methods, or environmental conditions. Compatible with track skip. CD-RW playback may be longer. Read precautions before use.

Troubleshooting and error codes

ERROR-10, 11, 12, 17, 30, A0 Electrical or mechanical Turn the ignition ON and OFF, or switch to a different source, then back to the CD player.
