Getting Started:

To turn on the player, press STANDBY/ON. Ensure your TV is set to the correct video input.

Playing Discs:

Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray, load the disc label-side up, and press PLAY to begin. On-screen menus may appear for DVD and Video CD/Super VCD. For discs with mixed content (DivX, MP3, WMA, JPEG), you may need to select the desired content type from the on-screen display.

Basic Playback Controls:

  • PLAY: Starts or resumes playback.
  • PAUSE: Pauses or restarts playback.
  • STOP: Stops playback.
  • Fast Forward/Reverse: Press and hold to scan through the disc.
  • Skip: Jumps to the next or previous track, title, or chapter.
  • Number Buttons: Enter title/chapter/track numbers for direct selection.

Resume and Last Memory: The player remembers the last playback position for DVDs, CDs, and Video CDs/Super VCDs, allowing you to resume where you left off.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Remedy
No HDMI audio output.
  • Ensure the source component is HDMI/DVI/HDCP compatible.
  • Check if the HDMI indicator is lit. If it is lit, the source may be only DVI/HDCP-compatible.
  • If the HDMI indicator is unlit, ensure the player is selected as the HDMI input on the connected component.
  • Verify the HDMI cable is properly connected and undamaged.
  • Confirm that both components are switched on and HDMI compatible.
No HDMI video output.
  • Ensure the player is selected as the HDMI input on the connected component.
  • Check the HDMI cable connection and condition.
  • Confirm that both components are switched on and HDMI compatible.
  • Ensure the player's HDMI resolution matches the connected component's. Adjust HDMI Resolution in settings if necessary.
No multichannel HDMI audio. Make sure the HDMI OUT setting is set to Auto.
A connected DVI component (with HDCP) doesn't work with this player.
  • This unit is designed to be compliant with HDMI. DVI connections may result in unreliable signal transfers.
