Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Solution
GENERAL
The system does not turn on. Is the power cord disconnected? (See page 31.) Has the timer been activated? (See page 33.) Have you pressed TV & on the remote control? (See page 33.) If the indicator is red, press TV on the remote or STANDBY/ON on the display.
Power supply is suddenly disconnected. Is the power-off timer set? (See page 65.) Check the power control setting. (See page 64.) The internal temperature has increased. Remove any objects blocking ventilation. (See page 17.) External influences like voltage failures or static electricity can cause incorrect operation. Turn off and then plug in again after a minute or two.
The system cannot be operated. Is the TV button deactivated? Activate it when POWER ON and STANDBY indicators are off. Is the mode switch set correctly? Set it to TV. (See page 16.) Are the batteries inserted correctly with correct polarity? (See page 32.) Are the batteries depleted? (Replace them.) (See page 32.) Operate the remote pointing towards the plasma display's remote control sensor. (See page 32.) Are you using it under intense light or fluorescent light? Does a fluorescent light illuminate the remote sensor? Check for obstacles between the remote and the sensor.
POWER ON indicator or STANDBY indicator is blinking rapidly. Protection circuits may have activated. Turn off the plasma display, wait a minute, then reconnect power and turn on. If the indicator still blinks, unplug the power cord, wait, and plug it back in. Contact customer support if the problem persists.
IMAGE/SOUND
No image or sound is displayed. Has the input source been accidentally selected as Video or PC while trying to view a TV channel? (See page 34.) Has parental control been activated? (See page 44.) Enter the password to temporarily cancel. (See page 48.) Check the antenna cable connection. (See page 30.) Check connections to other equipment. (See pages 70 to 75.) Are connections to other components correct? (See pages 70 to 75.) Is an incompatible PC signal being input? (See page 74.) Is the picture setting correct? (See page 61.)
No image. Check for obstacles in front of the ambient light sensor. (See pages 14 and 69.) If "Deactivate image" is selected for "Energy Save", the screen turns off with only sound generated. Press any button other than VOL +/- or MUTING to restore the screen. (See page 64.)
The screen is dark. Is the volume set to minimum? (See page 35.) Is the sound muted? (See page 35.) When using Video or PC as input, check if the audio terminal is connected. (See pages 70 to 74.)
Sound, but no image. Check if speaker cable connections are reversed or if a speaker cable is disconnected. (See page 25.)
Images displayed, but no sound generated. Has the balance been adjusted correctly? (See page 63.)
Image is cut off. Is the image position correct? (See page 66.) Is the screen size set correctly? (See page 68.)
Color is not normal, light or dark, or not aligned. Adjust the image tone. (See page 61.) If the room is too bright, the image may appear dark.
