Loading Battery: Open the battery compartment, insert the mercury battery, and close the cover. Loading Film: Avoid direct sunlight. Pull out the back cover latch to open. Pull out the film rewinding crank. Insert film cartridge. Push rewind crank back. Hook film perforation to the catch nail. Turn winding knob to engage sprockets. Close camera back. Turn winding knob until spring is charged, then press shutter release three times until '1' is opposite the mark. Checking Battery: Push the battery check button and look into the viewfinder. If lit, battery is good. Setting Film Speed: Rotate film speed setting ring to match film speed with the red pointer. Full-Automatic Picture-Making: Set AUTO & FLASH SET RING to 'AUTO'. Composing and Focusing: Viewfinder shows picture area. Inside frame is for close-ups. Move focus lever until double image merges. Releasing Shutter: Hold camera, press shutter release halfway. If lamp is lit, lighting is insufficient. If not lit, press fully to expose and advance film. Using Selftimer: Put camera on tripod. Turn selftimer set lever. Move selftimer release button. After 8-15 seconds, shutter releases. Unloading Camera: Push rewind release button. Turn rewind crank until tension lessens. Open back, remove cartridge. Shutter Release Safety Lock: Turn lock to 'LOCK' to prevent accidental release. Flash Photography: Mount flash on accessory shoe, connect cord. Turn AUTO & FLASH SET RING to set guide number. Focus determines aperture.
