1. Insert Batteries: Push the Battery Compartment Switch to open, then insert two AA (Alkaline or Manganese) batteries. Close the cover by pushing it.

2. Open Lens Shield: Slide the Lens Shield Switch down to open the shield.

3. Check Batteries: Cover the photocell with your finger and press the shutter release button halfway. The Low Light Warning LED should light up.

4. Set Film Speed: Slide the Film Speed Selector to match your film's ISO rating.

5. Load Film: Push the Back Cover Lever downwards. Load the film and place the leader over the take-up spool. Ensure the film is within the guide.

6. Take Picture: Press the shutter release button until '1' appears. Keep the subject at 1m or more. You can also take pictures with sunlight behind you, or for clearer long-distance shots, press the shutter while holding the lens shield switch down.

7. Use Flash: Use the flash when the Low Light Warning LED lights up.

8. Rewind Film: After the film ends, it rewinds automatically. To rewind early, use a ballpoint pen to press the manual rewind switch.

9. Unload Film: Open the back cover to unload the film.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Camera malfunction can be caused by shock, humidity, salt etc. Exposure to adverse conditions. Wipe carefully after use in such environments.
Camera may not operate correctly in cold conditions. Battery capacity decreases in cold. Warm the batteries in your pocket before use.
Flash Ready Lamp takes more than 30 seconds to light up. Weak batteries. Replace both batteries with new ones.
Film cannot be rewound when back cover is open. Back cover must be closed for rewinding. Ensure the back cover is closed before attempting to rewind.
Malfunction or damage to the camera. Pulling film out by hand before fully rewound. Never pull the film by hand; always use the rewind switch.
