Warranty Information

The RDC-300 camera is backed by a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

Basic Camera Operations:

  • Turning on the camera: Open the LCD monitor and slide the RECORD/PLAY switch to the [REC] position.
  • Setting image quality: Use the image quality mode switch to select between F (Fine), N (Normal), or E (Economy) modes.
  • Taking pictures: Position the camera, press the shutter release button halfway to set exposure and white balance, and then press it fully to capture the image.
  • Using the flash: Select flash mode (Flash Off, Forced Flash, Auto Flash) as needed.
  • Adjusting settings: Use the DATE button to set the date and time. Adjust the LCD brightness with the dial.
  • Playback: Slide the RECORD/PLAY switch to [PLAY] to view recorded images.
  • Erasing files: Press the ERASE button to select single-file or all-file erasing.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause Remedy
No power The batteries are not positioned properly or are depleted. Reposition the batteries correctly or replace with fresh batteries.
Sudden loss of power The AC adapter is not connected properly. Reconnect the AC adapter.
The camera fails to record picture when shutter release button pressed. The batteries are not inserted properly (incorrect polarity) or are dead. Reposition the batteries correctly or replace with fresh batteries.
The flash does not work or recharge. The power is off, or the Record/Playback switch is set to [Playback]. Slide the main switch to [Record].
The image is underexposed. The picture was taken in the no-flash mode under dark conditions. Press the flash mode button to cancel the setting.
The picture does not show natural colors. The camera fails to playback the data or display an image on the monitor. The Record/Playback switch is not set to [Playback].
The image on the monitor has disappeared. The batteries are dead. Replace the batteries with fresh batteries.
