The RICOH RDC-i500 camera allows for versatile usage by connecting to a PC. Key functions include:
- Camera Control via Browser: Access the camera's homepage through a web browser to view and save images (in thumbnail or actual size), record still images, text files, motion pictures, and voice memos, and adjust camera settings like Address Book and Dial-Up settings. You can also create backup files of camera settings.
- JOB Navi. Func. Image Capture Guide List Tool Kit: Create and transfer capture guide lists to the camera for organized image shooting and incorporation into documents.
- RDC-i Explorer Plug-In / RDC-i Mounter: Copy images and setting files between the camera and PC, and back up camera settings.
- TWAIN Function: Import images directly from the camera's storage into compatible graphic applications.
- Direct Upload: Send images directly to a specific PC.

Troubleshooting and error codes
