Powering On/Off: Press the power button to turn the camera on or off. The power lamp and display will activate/deactivate accordingly.

Taking Still Pictures: Press the power button to activate Still Picture Capture Mode. Half-press the shutter release button to focus (the frame turns green when focus is achieved), then fully press to take the picture. Use the W/T button to zoom.

Recording Movies: Select the Movie mode from the Capture Mode Palette. Press the OK button to confirm. Press the shutter release button fully to start recording and again to stop. Alternatively, use the dedicated Movie button for quick start/stop.

Playback: Press the button to enter playback mode. Use the four-way controller to navigate between images or movies. Press the button to delete an image.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Camera does not turn on. Battery is depleted. Charge the battery or replace it with a new one.
Cannot record images. SD Memory Card is full or write-protected. Replace or format the SD Memory Card. Turn the write-protect switch to the recording position.
Blurry images. Camera shake. Use a tripod or the self-timer. Set Pixel Track SR to On.
Focus is not achieved. Subject is too far or too close. Subject lacks contrast. Adjust shooting distance. Select appropriate focus mode. Aim at an area with contrast.
