Before First Use
Read the manual and safety instructions carefully. Store the manual with the device for future reference. Provide this manual to any other persons who will use the device.
Battery
Charge the battery fully before first use. Connect the camera to a computer or USB power adapter (5.0V === 1.0A). The charging indicator light blinks while charging and is solid when fully charged.
Battery Replacement
Hold the camera with the battery compartment cover visible. Slide the cover upwards to open. Remove the old battery. Insert the new battery ensuring the contacts align with the camera's contacts.
Basic Operation
Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds. The operation indicator light will illuminate.
Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds, or swipe down from the top of the screen and touch the power off icon.
Zoom: Use the Up button to zoom in and the Down button to zoom out (4x digital zoom).
Camera Modes
Video Mode: Record single videos at normal speed.
Loop Recording: If the memory card is full, the oldest recording is overwritten to continue recording.
Video-Lapse: Records individual frames at set intervals and compiles them into a video (intervals: 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, 60 seconds).
Slow Motion: Records a sequence and plays it back in slow motion (2x: 1080p 60fps | 3x: 720p 120fps).
Single: Capture a single photo.
Burst: Capture 3, 5, or 10 photos per second.
Photo Lapse: Takes a photo every 3, 5, 10, or 20 seconds.
Self-timer: Takes a photo after a 3, 5, 10, or 20 second delay.
Timestamp: Add a date or date and time watermark to your photos or videos.
Touchscreen Operation
Swipe left or right to switch between video and photo modes.
Use icons in the bottom corners to access playback mode (left) and settings (right). Access the mode menu by touching the bottom center of the screen.
Swipe down to open shortcuts, lock the screen, toggle WiFi, or power off.
To unlock, touch the display and swipe right.
Settings
Adjust system and camera parameters like resolution, white balance, WiFi, image rotation, language, date/time, format, reset, and firmware version.
Playback
View recorded videos and photos. Delete files by selecting the file, pressing the bin icon, and confirming.
Selfie Mode / Front Display
Press and hold the down key to switch between front and rear screens.
Storage / Micro Cards
Supports Micro SD and Micro SDXC cards up to 64GB (Class 10 U3 recommended). Format the card before use. Please insert correctly to avoid damage.
WiFi Setting / Operation via App
Connect to your smartphone via WiFi to control the camera. Download the "XDV" app. Connect your phone to the camera's WiFi network. Open the app and connect to the camera. Touch "X" or hold the Up Button to exit WiFi mode.
Firmware Updates
Download and install updates from the product page. Copy the .BRN file to your micro SD card. Insert the card into the camera, turn it on, and confirm the update. Format the SD card after the update.
Technical Data
Includes sensor details, chip, lens, video/photo resolutions and formats, digital zoom, modes, displays, memory support, connections, WiFi, power, dimensions, weight, and box content.
Disposal
Dispose of packaging according to local recycling guidelines. Do not dispose of electrical devices or batteries with household waste. Follow local regulations for proper disposal.
