Turning the camcorder on and off: Press and hold the POWER button to turn the camcorder on or off. Switching modes: Press the MODE button to cycle through Video, Capture (still images), and Playback modes. Setting the camcorder: Press the MENU button to access the menu. Use MODE to enter the setup menu, UP/DOWN to navigate, and OK to confirm or enter submenus. Press MENU again to exit. Power Save: Automatically turns off after a set period to conserve battery. Date & Time: Set the current date and time using MODE to cycle through fields and OK to confirm. Language: Select the on-screen display language. USB Settings: Options include MSDC (storage mode), Pictbridge (printing), and H264/MJPG (PC camera mode). Format: Deletes all data, including protected files. Back up important files first. Recording Movie Clips: 1. Select Video mode. 2. Press SHUTTER to start/stop recording. 3. Press UP for pause/resume. 4. Press DOWN for power-saving mode (screen black, recording continues). 5. Press OK to capture a still image while recording video. 6. Press UP after recording to enter Wi-Fi mode. 7. Use MENU for video-specific settings. Taking Still Images: 1. Select Capture mode. 2. Press SHUTTER or OK to take a photo. 3. Press DOWN for power-saving mode. 4. Press UP for Wi-Fi mode. 5. Use MENU for capture-specific settings. Playback: 1. Select Playback mode. 2. Use UP/DOWN to browse files. 3. Press OK for slideshows (images) or to start playback (videos). Press UP to pause/resume video playback. Press MENU to stop. 4. Use MENU for playback settings (protect, delete, slideshow, effects, etc.). Deleting Files: Choose to delete single files or all files. Slide Show: Automatically plays images from the memory card. Photo Effects: Apply color effects to images. Resize: Change the image size. Voice Memo: Add or delete voice recordings to files. Connections: - Downloading Files: Use a card reader or the supplied USB cable. - Connecting a HDTV: Use the HDMI cable for output. - Wi-Fi Connecting: Use the "Rollei S-30 WiFi" app on your smartphone/tablet to control the camera remotely.
