Charging the Battery: Before first use, charge the battery by connecting the USB cable to the AC adapter and camera.
Turning On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the camera on or off. An initial setup screen appears for first-time use.

Shooting Mode: Use the MODE button to select various shooting modes (Smart Auto, Program, DIS, Scene, Movie).

Situation	Suggested remedies
The subject's eyes appear red.	Set the flash option to Red-eye or Red-eye Fix. (p. 41) If the photo has already been taken, select Red-eye Fix in the edit menu. (p. 66)
