Warranty Information

SEA warrants the product free from defective material and workmanship for 1 year for parts and 90 days for labor.

Preparation: Charge battery, set language and date/time, select storage media (DISC/CARD for SC-DX103/DX105 only).

Recording Movie Images: Select disc type (DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, DVD-R) and format if necessary. Record movie images on disc or memory card (SC-DX103/DX105 only).

Recording Photo Images: (SC-DX103/DX105 only) Take photos only on memory card.

Playback and Editing: Select images from thumbnail views, play back on PC or TV, edit movie images (DVD-RW VR mode only).

Viewing on DVD Devices: Finalize the disc to ensure playback on other DVD devices.

Connecting to Devices: Connect to TV, VCR, DVD/HDD recorder, or PC. Use PC cam function.

Overall
The date and time are incorrect. Has the camcorder been left unused for a long period of time? The backup memory battery(button type battery) may be discharged. Replace with a new battery. →page 14
Menu
Menu items are greyed out.
  • You cannot select grey items in the current recording/playback mode.
  • There are some functions you cannot activate simultaneously.
  • Menu cannot be used in the EASY.Q mode.
  • The following menu cannot be used during recording: "Anti-Shake(DIS),” “16:9 Wide,” “Quality,” “Wind Cut,” “Digital Zoom,” “Disc Manage"

Discs
The disc cannot be removed.
  • Your camcorder is damp and moist inside (condensation). Or the internal temperature of your camcorder is unusually high. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for about 1 hour in a cool and dry place. page 105
  • Finalizing is interrupted by turning off your camcorder. Turn on your camcorder and remove the disc only when the finalization is completed. →pages 47-48
Disc is not recognized and the disc cover opens. The disc is damaged. Replace with a new disc.
Memory cards (SC-DX103/DX105 only)
Digital camera modes are not operable.
  • Insert a memory card into your camcorder properly. →page 52
  • If you use a memory card formatted on a computer, format it again directly on your camcorder. →page 78
Image cannot be deleted.
  • Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the memory card (SD card), if any. →page 53
  • You cannot delete images protected by another device. Release the protection of the image on the device.
You cannot format the memory card.

The data file name is not indicated correctly.
  • The memory card is not supported on your camcorder or card has some problems.
  • The file may be corrupted.
  • The file format is not supported by your DVD camcorder.
  • Only the file name is displayed if the directory structure complies with the international standard.
Recording
Pressing the Recording start/ stop button does not start recording.
  • Press the MODE button to set the STBY mode. ().
  • There is not enough free space to record on the storage media.
  • Check if memory card is not inserted or write-protect tab is set to lock. (SC-DX103/ DX105 only) →page 53
